Your opinion doesn't count being that you are both of the gay AND a dick.

And I'm well aware my boys suck statement was a vapid generalization, it's the ranting corner - didn't really give a damn as I was typing through tears. My ex husband was a "nice guy," and the last two guys I've dated also fall in that category...As in people comment on how they are sweethearts. Once this fling is over (and it's headed that way) I think I'll date a guy that's up front about being an asshole.

Hug I'm sorry you're having to deal with dating assholes. You're a nice person and don't deserve to be treated like that.

Bane of my existence: cheap Chinese clarinets. I dread it when a student walks in with one of them. Leaky, badly adjusted, wonky key work, out of tune with everything including themselves. Sadcryface

They've got a decent line of mid-range violins is all I know. I saw a documentary once on how the one town there, all they make are fiddles. It was really interesting. Some of the people who put the final touches on them don't even know how to play, but they're specialised in their particular job, much like a car assembly line.

They make shit drums as well.

The only Chinese drums I own are a tiny Sonor kit with a 14" bass drum. Great for playing tiny venues.

Everything else if first class. I have a Sonor snare dating around 1895, and it still kills!

Sad

As a former touring drummer with over 30 years at it, I can most definitely say that women cheat about 80 to 90% more than men. I watched it night after night.

The women just put on a bigger show at hiding it.

I can't argue with that, but I can say that I have never cheated in a relationship. I have, however, been cheated and lied to in EVERY single "serious" relationship I've been in. Most often my SO screwed a friend of mine. Other times a friend or particular family member tried to jump on my SO. (Which they never turned down if they thought they could get away with it.) I think it's people in general who are assholes.

Do not understand what SO means. I gather it is a good friend.

There are good people though. Can you imagine how many drunken women I could have taken advantage of?

Mostly they could think straight. But I would not know were they in relationships or not. Women who wish to screw around usually travel to clubs some distance from their homes so as to be secret.

That that brings me to a tour from years ago. Both mother and daughter chasing the guitarist!

He ended up going back to another woman's room. Her bra hung from the rear vision mirror for the remainder of the tour. One'd be sitting there doing nothing when the guitarist would look at you slyly and say, "Big as yer head mate. Big as yer fuckin' head."

That is how I recall that tour.

He found out later she was married.

Sugar and spice is right. Wink

It can be repaired, although I may have to ship it out of state to the only guy in the USA who can do the job right.

Jesus that's expensive.

I'm not sure why, but wind instruments in general seem to be really expensive.

My instrument is guitar, and though there are guitars that cost thousands of dollars, I have a pretty nice Fender Telecaster guitar that cost about $600, and a Gretsch acoustic that cost about $300. I'm not a professional musician, but if I were, both of those would be perfectly acceptable instruments.

But every time I look at saxophones, trumpets, clarinets, etc. -- they seem to start at several thousand dollars for anything better than a "student" instrument.

Yeah you can get guitar's at pretty good prices, you could probably get a whole setup, guitar, amp, picks , string etc. for the price of a clarinet lol.

When it comes to dating men I find its better to always take it slow. That way you can observe their manner and have a bettee idea of what you're getting yourself into.
