Did I mention the heat?

Meh.

We cool our house to 79º. What I object to is leaving the TV and lights on when nobody is in the room. I just got up and turned the lights in the living room, family room and kitchen off.

We leave the tv on for our dog. I turn out the lights though when nobody will be home.

Except for the bathroom, the light are something I never give consideration to. I use only LED bulbs in the main living area, but my bathroom lights are halogen. Those run hot and use more energy.

I get approached by people asking for money or alcohol quite often, normally I'm quiet polite and ease them down like "sorry I'm all out of money" or some such shit. Not anymore apparently. I literally laughed and said "fuck no". It just sorta came out like that. The look on her face though, holy shit totally worth. I don't think she's used to people being so blunt about it.

Just lately, customers at work have been pissing me off so much with their stupidity. I like to think my customer service and patience is very good at work, but by god my patience is basically gone. If the customer is good I'll be good, helpful, nice etc.. But like the shoplifters especially, no time or patience. No I don't give a shit how broke you are. No, I don't give a shit how many kids you have. No I don't care that the company I work for can afford it. No I don't care about your gang family members who will come and beat me up. No I don't care how many names you call me. No I don't care if you never shop here ever again you're trespassed anyway and I don't want your friends or family in here. You were planning on buying that tshirt you just shoved down your jacket, yea I don't think so get the fuck out. No I will not stop escorting you out and no, I don't care how embarrassed I'm making you feel. No, we don't have a toilet we just shit down the aisles, retard. No I don't give a shit what the other security guy lets your kid ride around the store on this little push ride on toy things, I'm not the other guy. Yes I saw you just leave your empty starbucks cup there and yes I am staring at you and than towards the bin, yes I am suggesting something. Oh? we close at 9pm, that's funny because I've worked here almost 3 years and I'm fairly certain we're always closed at 8pm.. but what would I know, it's not like I close up 4 days a week or anything... Yes we have 3 minutes before 8 and no I don't care, that's close enough to closing time I'm not letting you in. I don't care about your parking issues that's not my problem. I don't care how much of a rush you're in. No, you can't look at the cameras. No I haven't seen your friend or child or wallet or car keys or common sense.

I don't work security but I've dealt with many of those issues. It is very hard sometimes to quash my sarcasm and maintain decorum. You didn't mention my favorite, Muffs:

Customer: "Do you work here?"
Me: [looks at uniform shirt with embroidered namepatch and company logo] "Yes, I suppose I do."

My favorite answer to that is "They pay me, but I really don't know what I do.".

Aliza, afford to it in terms of money or of weight? 'Cause - damn! And anything above 22-23C is much too much Dodgy

Also, my throat hurts. I am in Brazil and was bitten by a mosquito yesterday.

Ergo, I am about to die.

Do not send flowers.

Weight. My parents can be very judgmental about food intake. I am by no means an over eater and I eat healthy food, but I hate exercise so my parents feel the need to comment on all of that.

Not unless I get pregnant, adey, and I have no intention to. Ever. EVER.

Ugh, sorry, Aliza, that doesn't sound like fun. Parents (and people in general) can be so insensitive and hurtful, even when they think they're helping [Image: hug.gif]

(And exercise is damn boring. Unless there's a cool sport you like, it's the boringest thing ever.)

Meanwhile, on another continent, away from prying, critical eyes (not that people in my life are like this), I am happily stuffing my face* with delicious Brazilian food (seeing as I'm about to die Tongue )

Meh.

There is something that's just wrong when parents do crap like this.

I had the opposite problem...I was so stressed that I weighed 105 pounds through most of high school...I am a stress starver and our home was stress central. I got a lot of snide remarks about being skinny and flat chested. Nothing like boosting the old self-confidence. sigh

I hope your stay is short.

See here they are the bruises some were self-inflicted and some showed up along the way. - JF

Ironically, I insisted I wasn't an over eater shortly before gorging myself on a ton of food and wine at a restaurant.

Stuffed. Totally stuffed. Blush
