Such a romantic man I married.

Then he ranted for 20 minutes about all the fools wasting money on flowers. I'm saving the card...I'll just give it to him again next year (he's been getting the same anniversary card, bday card, fathers day card and Christmas card for about a decade now and has yet to notice).
Awww....romance Blink

Ya love is in the air.

But as if to knock me down, reality came around
And without so much as a mere touch, cut me into little pieces

The last valentines day I had before my ex husband and I got divorced. I gave him just a small gift. I got a huge 30-45 minute lecture on how stupid I was and how I shouldnt be wasting our money on such trivial crap.

Gotta love it.

I've been married to my first husband nearly 25 years. It shouldn't surprise or disappoint.me.

Yet somehow I think -- this will be the year he'll surprise me.

One year, when we were first married around our anniversary, he handed me a bag -- inside was a quart of oil, because my car -- he said -- was low.

Still don't have a fucking room to live in...

Can one of you just pack up all your shit, find a stable job and buy a house in Wellington, New Zealand and then rent a room out to me for cheap?

RE: Ranting corner
For over twenty years I have made sure there was a Valentine card and gift of some sort for my husband. I seldom got a thing in return.

With all that's gone on lately and my statement to him that I thought it was time for a divorce, I decided this year not to bother.

So, I get home from work to a card...kind of a sappy one.

All I can think is...too little, too late. Hate to be so cynical.

In two weeks will be our 21st anniversary...wonder what that will be like. Another occasion that has been overlooked for a very long time by him.

See here they are the bruises some were self-inflicted and some showed up along the way. - JF

Sending loads of hugs. I'm a hopeless romantic who hasn't a clue what you've been through together. But I hope he fights for you.
