RE: Ranting corner
I think the only reason I'd ever work for food service is if - and only if - I got free food on top of the paycheck. And if I were to choose, it would probably be Indian - lot of variety.

I don't think I could work at a place like a fish & chips ... although, that is one of the few food places I've worked. I did really learn to love fresh seafood there. Learned how to cut it also - they even sent me to fish cutting school. I am oh so happy with the many skills acquired in my mid-teens. Dodgy

Muffs that has to be the biggest understatemnet ever Smile

I had a stint is customer service a long time ago and also had to keep my mouth in check. It was amazing so stupid, rude and horrible some people are.

Indeed.
A year and a half (went back last summer because I'm stupid...) and in that whole time I only insulted a customer once. Called him an asshole, was during peek time and there was a line out the door and I was on till and everybody herd me.
But hey, everyone agreed he was an asshole.

You're not American, no excuses good sir. Tongue

Just applied for three jobs. Repco (car parts place, so dealing with bogens), New World (grocery store) so dealing with stressed out mothers and my preferred, Noel Lemmings (an electric goods store), so dealing with ignorant grannies.

Oh! That's why all the parliament / federal buildings are in Canberra. I often wondered.

D'oh!

Good luck with the job-thing. Personally I think that the yummy mummies job has more potential Evil_monster
