Fixed! Tongue

Thanks. Still no luck (so far). Am beginning to suspect Dawkins' childhood took place in Narnia or something...

(There was a line about people (prisoners, actually) from Malawi playing football barefoot. God, did that make me feel nostalgic as dammit. Sadcryface )

RE: Ranting corner
So today I'm at the crappy market I hate, but sells the best lunch meat ever (Boar's Head).

I'm going down the deodorant aisle (because they had a sale and I had a coupon). There's a man there. He opens the thing of deodorant, removes the plastic guard piece, uses it, replaces the plastic thing, puts the top back on it and stuck it back on the shelf.

Seriously!?

I'm beyond grossed out.

I feel like Jerry Seinfeld in the Toothbrush episode.

Well, at least there's some security in that I guess...

Rant 1: shirts. Buying them. I don't know who designs them but they can go to hell. Does it fit around the chest? Then your arms, shoulders and waist are swimming in excess fabric. Does it fit around the waist? Then it won't button up. Shirt designers can bite me.

Rant 2: I don't know where the university buys its furniture but it ought to be commended for this. These are the most uncomfortable couches ever. How do you make a lounger that cuts off circulation to your legs? And still I count three people sleeping up here.

Rolled up into the office supply section of Wal-Mart and ran into this gem:

Really, mother-fucking-Wal-Mart? Really?

You know what? I don't need Jeebus. I really fucking don't. So you can take this pencil bag and shove it up your ass! Hobo

This is not a rant, just nowhere else to go.

I started posting on this site a month ago and erroneously thought Junior Member (blush) meant a young, in age, member. Yeah, I feel stupid.

Moving on.

The ignorance and stupidity of youth (that immature frontal lobe) and the ignorance and stupidity of adults (the non-informed and the ill informed) are wildly different in scope, and I regret that I may not always be able to tell the age of a poster, not wanting to discourage youth in my responses. And I recognize that young posters are often in an identity crises, seeking validation for the way they think and feel.

What is an appropriate way to address an adult may devastate a young person.

I have a serious concern and no answers.

RE: Ranting corner
I hate my job. Working for local authority was good at first, good pay and early finishes and now with all the of the budget cuts over the last two years the place is an underfunded, under-managed, shambles of an institute with no morale in the work place and a selfish, pass the buck mentality.

With an extra £50 million in cuts to come over the next two years it is very obvious that they are gearing up my department to be privatised.

Time to look for alternative employment methinks.

I feel so much, and yet I feel nothing.
I am a rock, I am the sky, the birds and the trees and everything beyond.
I am the wind, in the fields in which I roar. I am the water, in which I drown.
