The Dictator - 9/10

It's just brilliant. Very clever and makes me laugh every time, especially the birth scene.

Best and worst of Ferdinand .....
Best
Ferdinand: We don't really say 'theist' in Alabama. Here, you're either a Christian, or you're from Afghanistan and we fucking hate you.
Worst
Ferdinand: Everyone from British is so, like, fucking retarded.

A Dolphin's Tale: 8/10

Acting was pretty good for a film of this type. Inspiring story. Pretty sappy in places but it got my tear ducts working in a couple places. Overall better than I expected.

Rise of the Zombies - 2/10

This seems to be aimed squarely at those people who can't stop whining about all that pesky "story" and "character" stuff in The Walking Dead. Instead, we get a story with the pacing of "amateur audition" porn: about five minutes of character and plot for every 15 minutes of mindless action. The characters are all idiots, and I defy anyone to care if even a single one of them survives. The rules for the zombies change repeatedly according to the needs of the scene. The plot stinks to high Heaven, and its occasional stabs at poignancy are either cringe-inducing or laugh-out-loud hilarious. Bottom line: avoid this like it was on fire.

So then, why a 2?

Also, I plan to avoid it like New Coke.

Sanctum. 7/10
Cave diving disaster movie. Beautiful camera work. Entertaining 'true story' nonsense.

Jack Reacher: 7/10

It was pretty entertaining, and there were a lot of good scenes, although I thought the whole climax could have been better.

Watched about 5 minutes near the end of John Carter last night. Won't even bother trying to fit it into a 10 scale. Scale would probably break.

Unfit for human consumption.
