Rate the Last Film You've Seen
I've been away for a bit so hopefully I haven't missed some previous post...

Has anyone gotten a chance to see Zero Theorem yet? I'm not sure I want to know how anyone feels about it. I guess I'm morbidly curious. I must see it anyway having loved Brazil and 12 Monkeys.

It seems it's having trouble getting released in the US.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014)

5/5

I (and professional movie goers) think this movie surpasses the first one. It has a very Shakespearean feel to it with its inter and intra-species conflict. There is just the right amount of action to keep your blood flowing. The majority of the movie is carried by powerful scenes full of emotion. There are even silent scenes with nary a single word spoke, but much information conveyed. This takes place through the medium of sign language.

My husband said he enjoyed it (guy time with our boys, no moms). We've just gotten Rise of the Planet of the Apes from Netflix.

Bad Neighbours.
Yup.
Don't want to rate it.
Some funny bits.
Seth Rogen makes me chuckle because he seems to the same in each movie, self deprecating but with a genuine sense of humour about life in general.

I went to see Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes yesterday and I must say I enjoyed it. It looks pretty good in 3D and I was impressed with the special effects and action scenes. Would highly recommend it. 4/5

Just started to watch Expendables 3. Military guys from the beginning of the movie are speaking fucking Croatian. Not Russian, not Serbian. Croatian.

Hahahahahahaha...

The Act Of Killing - 9/10

Very informative and incisive. Disturbing to behold. Absolutely bizarre and often surreal.

Compelling viewing but not sure I could ever watch it again. Unsettling to think people like that exist in the world and get away with it. Makes me wonder if any of the people I've ever met have killed people. *shiver*

Guardians of the Galaxy

Easily my favorite angry raccoon and sentient tree documentary. Also learned about metaphors and 70's pop music.

11/10 - Would dance-off again.
