Easily my favorite angry raccoon and sentient tree documentary. Also learned about metaphors and 70's pop music.

11/10 - Would dance-off again.

Maybe this weekend I can go see this. Everyone's raving about it.

I saw it twice, would have made it 3 times if I wasn't currently on overtime.

I'm broken. Just watched:

Divergent (6/10)

...and what's foremost in my head at this time? Total irritation at their pronunciation of "erudite" throughout the film. Ugh!

Yet another reason why Americans must look embarrassing to the English. We butcher the language and then use our dictionaries to justify it so we don't feel bad. Bah!

I may have missed some key plot points because of this.

I saw it with Kelly last week. Her idea.

She fell asleep and I got confused by not paying attention to who was who.

The dialogue tried too hard to be funny and the attempts at pathos were largely but not completely pathetic.

Very good graphics though. Sumptuous for the eyes.

4/10

RE: Rate the Last Film You've Seen
I'm currently watching Harry and the Hendersons (1987) starring John Lithgow. A great movie from my childhood and a great family movie. I primarily watch it for nostalgia, but I would still recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it or loves campy 80s movies.
Here's an interesting fact about the movie: the character of Harry (the Bigfoot) is played by Kevin Peter Hall. He is best known for his role as the Predator in the 1987 classic action flick starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Carl Weathers.
So check it out and enjoy.

Noah
4/10

Not a lot of fun but it did somehow manage to compel me to finish it. Maybe Emma Watson was the reason. No, both she and the kid who played Ham were much better in The Perks Of Being A Wall Flower (9/10).

In this one we didn't care about ANYONE. I was also perturbed that the fate of future mankind is on the line and Noah's wife expresses that she's more concerned about the happiness of her sons (than the future of her own species). None of the other characters seemed too put out by the possible end of life either. In fact everyone was rather selfish except Noah who simply insane.

One positive: the film does an excellent job of putting the story into perspective in the sense that it becomes little more than another ancient mythos film like Clash of The Titans or Hercules, which does a great job of putting the story onto the shelf it belongs. Throughout the film comparisons can be made with those other mythos films and you'll see this story isn't nearly as interesting as any of the others

Does anyone here know if there have been any big-budget mythos films based on the Hindu pantheon? They have some wild tales!

Aw, that's a shame, but I understand. Humor, evermore so than about anything else, can get 'lost in translation'; and even when it's not, it's still very subjective.

I am a huge fan of the Marvel movies, and went into this one expecting a funny space-opera; and I got exactly that. I hope you enjoy your next movie more, as going out for them certainly isn't cheap. Smile

I've asked my coworkers about it. Since they agree with my comparison to The Fifth Element to a degree I think I know to expect.
