Fury (on dvd)

9 out of 10.

At first I thought they screwed up - having Pitt's character carrying a captured AK-47 (which didn't exist at that time)..... I suspect they filmed it the way they did to trick us weapon freaks into thinking that..... It wasn't -- it was a Stg 43 -- while not common - they were in issue in the last years of the war...

Some of the action sequences were phenomenal...

John Wick

If you like action movies? 9/10

If you have a natural aversion to Keanu Reeves? 4/10

It's smart, doesn't waste your time with perfunctory exposition while simultaneously creating an interesting world for the almost non-existent plot to take place in, and with a cadre of awesome character actors filling out many supporting roles.

Oh come on. Reeves doesn't have a lot of range, but he's perfect in this role; and that monologue in the church? The whole movie is a lot of fun, and he walks out of there with a 78+ person body count.

So much head shooting...

Also that Marilyn Manson song was a great pick.

Jupiter Ascending

There is a line in the movie where it is explained that the most valuable thing in the universe is time.

Well, I wish I could have my two hours back. The movie was every cliche from every sic-fi movie rolled into one. It was awful...really, truly awful.

Man of Tai Chi

If you like martial-arts movies? 9/10

If you have a natural aversion to Keanu Reeves? 4/10

You get to see Reeve's real life friend, and former Matrix stunt coordinator and trainer, Tiger Chen beat the shit out of people with Tai Chi. Fucking Tai Chi. That's right, that slow-moving meditative stuff you see old Asian people practicing in rock gardens. It's also the only movie I've ever seen that has managed to make the 'underground fight scene' motivation bollocks seem reasonably plausible.

Also, directed by Keanu Reeves.
