Hmmm... I'm not a huge Bond fan, but I've seen most of the movies, and enjoyed most of them -- and I enjoyed this one. It's longer than it needs to be, and has some implausibilities (but what Bond movie doesn't?), but from earmuffs' description, I wonder if he saw the same movie.

I still think that Daniel Craig is the best Bond ever. And if the job of the "Bond girl" is to be beautiful and sexy, Lea Seydoux delivers.

I'm 100% sure that I watched it, but literally every dream I've had has been more memorable than that movie. By the final act, I had forgotten how it started, and couldn't care less how it ends.

Daniel Craig may be a good Bond, but he sure is weird looking. There's moments where my completely sober brain felt like I had been chewing mushrooms, simply by looking at his mutant mug.

Go watch this movie now. If you saw the trailerand enjoyed it you will love this movie. It nails Deadpool, Ryan Reynolds is fantastic as Deadpool but Stefan Kapicic as the voice of Colossus is almost even better as a foil for the hyjinx.

4/5 stars

I *wanted* to enjoy Deadpool. Does that count? Shy

Note: this movie is not for pussies or the otherwise squeamish, such as myself. Sleepy

Saw Deadpool the other day. Actually saw it in the movies. Me, Muffs, paying to watch a movie at the movies and a marvel movie at that!? Oh the humanity.

It was meh as fuck. That's the only way to put it. Meh.
I mean I had a little bias because I hate pretty much every single Marvel bullshit they keep pumping out but even so. The humor was meh, bit hit and miss at times, the story was meh/shit, the characters were good and the action was good.
But the whole package was just... meh.

5/10, wont pirate and watch again.

RE: Rate the Last Film You've Seen
Finally saw the new Star Wars movie. How I managed to avoid spoilers for like 4 months is beyond me but I did it.
Anyway, the movie was fantastic. It's Star Wars. Nuff said.

The only gripe I would have is that it moved away from the sort of realism (as far as galactic empire realism goes) and more towards that typical Hollywood bullshit.
What I mean is like that scene where all the troops are lined up and they're about to fire the weapon. It's all very Nazi/North Korea. It's Hollywood being Hollywood.

I would have watched The Bucket List.

It was streaming on Netflix for less than a week. Stupid Netflix. Dodgy

So I'm watching Logan's Run on DVD (hubby got it years ago). I finally *get* the Family Guy reference.

I agree that Daniel Craig = best bond ever. But this movie was just fucking terrible. The acting was fine, I do really like Christopher Waltz, he pulls off happy psycho amazingly. The sounds were fine, the special effects, the cars etc.. Nothing was wrong with any of that the issue was simply that the movie was fucking terrible. The story was utter garbage. Total absolute trash. The movie was like 3 hours and most of that was just bond whoring around. Seriously dude, calm the fuck down. He's like the horniest person in the world. Amongst other unneeded shit that took away from developing the shitty story. If I wanted trashy story with boring cliche's I would watch a superhero movie. It's like we get it, he likes his martini shaken not stirred get over it.

Worst bond movie ever. Especially after Casino Royal and Skyfall which were rather good.

I didn't care for Specter and I've seen every Bond movie made. I love Daniel Craig, he's like a face punch away from completely ugly. I loved Casino Royal, I enjoyed Quantum of Solace and liked a lot Skyfall. Specter was meh.

But I only gave Specter HeartHeart / 10 hearts.

Dogtooth

Gasp

VIII / X

OK. That was a serious mind-fuck!

Two scenes in particular...
Snipping Barbie's feet off.
The 'dental' moment.
Perhaps I'm one step closer to understanding childhood conditioning and why someone would want to go "back to faith".

No
