Moana

It's fuckin' great. Real happy to see that Tangled and Big Hero 6 weren't flukes, and that Disney Animation Studios has genuinely got their house back in order.

9/10 Coconuts

Less than Zero... I rate it less than 0. But a nice cocaine is bad flick of the lasting 80s message.

But it's got that gloried Gen x coming to adulthood vibe and music jam that is enjoyable time capsuled

Don't breathe 8/10 - Minus point for brief religious propaganda, but still good.

A solid 4/5. Action, comedy and some respectable emotional moments.

Would watch again with friends.

Same rating, having just watched it. It's rare to find an action comedy where I laugh the whole way through, but boy do Samuel L. Jackson and Ryan Reynolds deliver on this one.

Need to think of a witty signature.

I agree, the casting with those two really worked well.

Little Evil (2017)
Starring: Evangeline Lilly as Sam, the mom; Adam Scott as Gary, the stepdad; Bridget Everett, as Al; Owen Atlas as the cutest little Antichrist
Synopsis: Newlywed Gary suspects he is the new stepdad of the Antichrist
IMDb Link for Little Evil
My Rating: 7.5/10

Gary has recently married Samantha, and as he moves in, his stepson Lucas exhibits odd behavior. That is, even odder than most 6-year-olds with a new stepfather. Gary tries to befriend Lucas, but as we see in the first scene, being buried alive is kind of an obstacle when trying to establish a healthy relationship.

It's a dark comedy, and Gary isn't ready to accept his stepson may in fact be the spawn of Satan. His friend helps him, and she realizes Gary is in over his head. It has funny lines, funny scenes, and is like The Omen on weed.

The previous stepfathers, except one, are all dead. We learn that Sam was in a cult and his son's conception was... let's just say abnormal. The priest and his congregation are the cult that Sam escaped from, and now they want Lucas back. He isn't exactly the son of Satan, but a vessel for the Devil to use to come to Earth. They have to kill Lucas and let Satan inhabit the boy's body.

It's a bit predictable and formulaic. After only one day in the water park (where Gary originally plans to kill Lucas) they quickly bond. I guess this was just the condensed father-son bonding part.

One thing that was strange was how did Gary and Sam date for so long with Gary never meeting the kid? From what I can tell, Sam has had such trouble getting guys to accept Lucas that she made sure Lucas wouldn't deter Gary from marrying her.

And that one dad who is strangely obsessed with shitting in his kid's backpack...

I've liked Ryan Reynolds since 2 Guys, a Girl, and a Pizza Place.

Also, yes, that is nerd hero Nathan Fillion. It is the best sitcom you've never heard of.
