That was not a typo this is perhaps the best Scifi film ever no longer dumbed down and given a crap happy ending that negates the rest of the film. Worth watching for The Tears in rain death scene, the visuals and story still hold up 32 years after it's original release.

Still one of my all-time favorites. Nearly usurped by Children of Men. The latter I enjoyed for its subtlety in presenting a vision of the future. It's elegant mesh of things both contemporaneous and futuristic (the scene at Battersea Power Station comes to mind) created a more convincing future world.

Your last sentence reminds of a movie I did watch recently that turned out to be better than my wife or I expected:

Identity Thief

We were both surprised by it. Turned out not to be the terrible film we predicted from the trailers.

Just watched Celeste and Jesse Forever. 7/10 this would be my husband and I if we ever got a divorce. Can't go into it more than that without spoilers, it's worth a watch if you find the trailer interesting.

You've gotta be kidding me...

Since you actually watched it, I'm glad you enjoyed it.

That being said, the majority of people here would probably find it a complete waste of time. I recommend AVOID. (19% RT, 5.7 IMDB)

Le Samouraï

A man kills a man. Stuff goes wrong. It's so washed out you might forget it's even shot in colour. Cold jazz on wet, grey streets.

4.5/5

You never go wrong with Melville.

But for getting a little Starbuck tittie? Consider 2.5-3/5 Shy
