Rate the Last Film You've Seen
It's pretty self-explanatory, so I'll start with a movie I saw yesterday:
Being John Malkovich - 3 out of 5 It was good, but not as great as I thought it would be. It could've been better cast, especially Cameron Diaz's role. I also thought that there were way too many point where characters went out-of-character. It was hard to distinguish a likable character as well, and the only one I was cheering for was John Malkovich himself. Most people either do their films on a scale of 1-10 or assign letter grades. If I had to pick a letter grade for this film, it would be a B-. ![]() "Remember, Jesus would rather constantly shame gays than let orphans have a family." -Stephen Colbert |

Going the Distance with Drew Barrymore and the "I'm a Mac" guy. As a comedy it was about a B-. As a romance, it was about a C-. As a romantic comedy it was about a solid C.

too bad this wasnt days ago and i could have ranted about the balck swan more.
The shining i rte it a 7. So its pretty good horror, but dated. It scared me witless when i was 10 and it was still good these days but its not quite as good as it was when i still had the nostalgia goggles on. |

Billy Connolly's Journey to the Edge of the World.
I rate the 5 one-hour episodes a 10/10. Billy Connolly is a comic genius, and a stand-up, wonderfully sincere man. And all of his best qualities and characteristics come through in this fantastic voyage along the Northern passage of Canada. It's a visual feast, a rolicking good laugh, and a very genuine, heartfelt presentation of a man meeting often overlooked but wonderful peoples. It is a must-see for anyone remotely interested in the beauty of earth, and the beauty of genuine human contact. |

I'm going to watch Red tonight, so I'll edit in a rating later-on. I hope it's as good the critics and previews make it out to be...

True Grit: 4.5/5. A great movie. And it has one of the single best tough-guy lines ever. Fill your hands, you sonofabitch!

Waiting For Superman: 5/5 one of the best documentaries I have seen in a long while. It addresses the issues of the public school system incredibly well.
