Doesn't the Nostradamus prophecy say the next pope will destroy the Church or something?

However, I'm curious if they still do the balls-handling test. You know, "testiculos habet et bene pendentes."

I doubt it. The cardinals hated the fact pope John Paul 2 was around so long. They want to have a new pope every so many years -- they want people they can control.

Not quite his death, but Hitchens is still quotable upon the departure of a Pope.

"I don’t wish any ill on any fellow primate or mammal of mine, so I don’t
at all look forward to the death of Joseph Ratzinger, I don’t, or any
other bloke, not really, except for one tiny reason which I ought to
confess and share with you. When he dies, there’s quite a long interval
till the conclave can meet, and for that whole time, that whole
interval—it is a delicious, lucid interlude—there isn’t anyone on Earth
who claims to be infallible. Isn’t that nice? "

My best craziest facebook friend thinks that he quit under pressure from the gay agenda to allow women and gay bishops.

Give me your argument in the form of a published paper, and then we can start to talk.

RE: Ratinzer Quits
I've read an article from a European news paper that has talked about many of his qualms with others in the church. The article also talked about applying their history. So the writer of the article wants the church to talk about their altering of their "holy" book, killing, slavery, molestation etc.
