Oh you bet! A a good supply of "the black stuff" is essential to get through those dark evenings.

RE: Ready for Winter?
Nope.

I just had the car serviced for winter, still need to put the snow tires on and get new windshield wipers.

I need to put up the new tent for the tractor and attachments - mine collapsed at the end of last winter.
I mean, seriously, after 18 years and an 8' snowfall? They just don't make 'em like they used to. Angry

RE: Ready for Winter?
I might put winter tires on for a couple months....if I end up making a lot of trips over the mountains. Otherwise, we're expecting a snow free winter this year (with a few skifters as an exception I'm sure). That's pretty much the only prep required here. Kind of a strange feeling...like I should be doing something but I'm not.

So many cats, so few good recipes.

Ahhhh.. Metal roofs....

Gotta love 'em.... Only thing with composite roofs here is the woodshed and my shop......

For the life of me, I don't know why I went with composite on it.......

Even the house has tin....

No. Nononononono. Sadcryface2

I refuse to allow winter back after the mess it made last year.

RE: Ready for Winter?
Dude, last week it was still in the 80s and 90s here. After our big rain this past weekend we are in the 70s...though yesterday was near 80.

Winter isn't coming to Texas quite yet.

Yes, but did you ever get to legitimately stay home from school on a snow day? Banana_zorro

RE: Ready for Winter?
Winters down here are mild, but have a couple of freezes, usually, so I've got new insulation for the water-supply lines, and good rubber on the truck.

Big thing for me is that it's rutting season right now, I have to remember to turn on the high-beams driving at night so I don't catch a buck.
