RE: Ready for Winter?
They are predicting a very rainy winter here. From the looks of my yard right now the house may turn into an ark before winter gets here. Screw that ALL the animals shit, the six that currently reside here (not counting that evil bastard of a squirrel that ate his way into the house) are all who are going on this flood voyage. Dodgy

We won't be needing snow survival gear, we will need snorkels and swim fins.

See here they are the bruises some were self-inflicted and some showed up along the way. - JF

We're all mad here. The Cheshire Cat

Dunno why this just occurred to me (oaky, maybe breakfast at WakeN'Bake might have something to do with it), but couldn't the FatOldUglyBiker just distill his maple syrup? Is there such a thing as maple syrup moonshine?

There is only one really serious philosophical question, and that is suicide. -Camus

It's based on mead, but yes. Yes, there is.

RE: Ready for Winter?
It is possible -- and I have a new neighbor who's into serious home brewing - and distillation -- (and his son works at Bell's brewery.) who is going to use syrup to make beer.. I'm going to be tapping trees at his place and supplying him with syrup -- and I'll get some beer in return... I got some of his corn liquor a couple months ago --- nice stuff....

Thing is -- we had a horrible year this last year (this spring) and didn't have surplus for such applications. I'm doing even more trees this coming season than last year (230 or so) and hopefully we'll have a good surplus that can be turned into something drinkable....

I'm in Phoenix. "Winter" means we have to close our windows at night....sometimes.

I can’t wait for temperatures to plunge into the 60’s so I can use my hot tub again.

We've been home brewing for years and years...Used to be very active in the home brew community as well in Califorinia. But when we moved here we started shifting from beer to cocktails. It's too rainy and our equiptment is more the outdoor type....

I think we're finally coming to an end. We've been talking about selling some stuff off.

I don't drink much beer anymore either (although I love the stuff) - 3 beers and I feel like a bloated goat..............
