RE: Red Sea Scrolls?
Quote:The Qumran'ers were a sectarian group that lived in seclusion for generations

A theory which has taken a number of hits lately.

For the record, there is nothing in any of the writings about the Essenes which indicates that they sat around on their asses copying books. In fact, Josephus specifically claims that they worked in animal husbandry.

Israeli archaeologists Magen and Peleg found a pottery facility on the site.

Quote:Of all the theories concerning the site, one is supported by incontrovertible evidence: the flourishing, decades-long pottery industry

I was wondering if there was some kinda new discovery around the Red Sea. I didn't find any, so I asked the question.
