Redskins/Raiders parody of Billy Joel song 1984
I will give anyone here a free year's supply of pocket lint if they remember and can find a link to the parody song of Billy Joel's Uptown Girl called "Superbowl".

It was a song basically saying the Skins would repeat after beating the Dolphins. The song was I am sure local in the DC area, most likely done by one station.

It was done to the tune of Billy Joel's "Uptown Girl" but was called "Superbowl".

It went something like

"Superbowl
The Skins are going to win the Superbowl
They're going to win just like they did last year
They'll make the Raiders want a new career."

If anyone can find a link to the original recording that would be great. I am not asking for it out of some delusional thought that we are a great team, but in that I know it did exist and I am not crazy.

It would have been done in Jan of 1984 for Superbowl 18 prior to the game being LOST by the Redskins.

Quote:* Brad Smiley's "Super Bowl Song," a stunning doo-wop takeoff on Billy Joel's "Uptown Girl."
