Turkey is a genuinely secularised nation-state. Replacing its secular constitution with something based on the Quran would be a step backwards for Turkey, a return to pre-Atatürk Turkey.

Regardless of how much Islam is reformed the Quran is not a good foundation for the governance of a nation-state. Whatever deficiencies the current constitution of Turkey has it can be amended, there is no justifcation for restoring the Turkish Sultanate in any capacity.

Preaching to the converted, dude.

I get the Turkish connection but I'm just reading this at face value.

Just saying that the bit in the vid re. the Constitution is not altogether awful. So if these ideas started to bleed into Islamic cultures that are currently using a more literal interpretation of the Quran or if it was more widely accepted that the Quran is as pure as e.g. the Bible... no bad thing.

RE: Relaxation
As far as I know there are already 2 countries that have the quoran as it`s official constitution.

Let`s take a look at them shall we:

Punishment for owning "unislamic material" in Saudi Arabia:

Punishment for owning a bible in Saudi Arabia:

Hand being cut of as punishment in Iran:

Punishment for owning alcohol, drugs or any other of the countless offenses punishable by death in Saudi Arabia:

Less well known, this is what is done with the corpses of the executed for 1-2 weeks in Saudi Arabia:

Woman being stoned in Iran:

These are countries in which raped women need "male witnesses" to prove that they had been raped, and even then: the women are found to be partialy guilty of their rape. Where homosexuals are executed and women treated like cattle. Also Iran and Saudi Arabia export more terrorism than any other country.

So no thank you.

I need not watch some video with some old man dreaming up some weird concepts out of thin air.

I just need to read the human rights reports on those savages.

So much for "submission".

Very disappointing.

So when you have no arguments against the human rights abuses you threaten that the implementation of the quoran as a guidline for laws and constitution will come anyway, despite the opposition and arguments aginst it..

How very nice of you. What is it like being a fascist? As a post WW 2 German I have always wondered.

All blue countries on this map have a legal seperation between religion and state:

Seems like Turkey doesnt care much about this nonsence.

You did not answere the question: What is it like being a fascist?

And if you are an Alex Jones fan club moron who blames all the worlds ills on some cryptic conspiracy, there is not much room for debates on the ground of reason here for you anyway.
And a economy is not built by a government, economies are built either despite the government or with some help of the government.

Try to actualy have some knowlege about the stuff you are talking about.
