Religious Movies You Still Watch
Just wondering (since the holiday movies are abound) if there are religious movies you still watch even though you're not a believer?

There are some that I watch either because they are a spectacle like "The 10 Commandments" or because I love the actors like "The Bishops Wife" (the old one with Cary, Loretta, David and Mr. Woolley) or even because I just love them from childhood and still enjoy them, "We're No Angels and Masada".

So, do you still watch religious or movies with a religious message?

Dogma and Life of Brian are as close as I get...

And they both make my top 10 movies of all time..

The closest I come is "It's a Wonderful Life" but that I think it is more woo than religion even if it does involve "angels". Never saw Jesus Christ Superstar, it came out when I was a young boy in Peru. In Spanish if was "Jesucristo Super Estrella". I provably would watch that now more for the time capsule effect it would have on me.

Jenny, have you been to the Trapp Famiy Lodge in Stowe Vermont?

I saw JCS in the theater when it came out. At my Catholic school, they actually played the album in our music class.

I owned the album and a few months ago bought the DVD. It has some good music in it. It's a movie I will watch on a lazy weekend afternoon.
