Wink Religious Repercussions.
I'm sure many of you have experienced such as a result of religious fanaticism.

As for me in my late teens I got involved with Seventh Day adventism.
I had a reasonable job at the time, working shif work, including Friday nights.
My new faith saw me giving up my job in order to observe the Saturday Sabbath.

Things got progressively worse, along with family issues and I ended up in a mental institution (working not an inmate) All very depressing, along with the religious stuff.
I went a bit off my nut, shaving it completely bald, not a common thing to do in the 60s.

Anyway some of you may like to relate how wacko religion affected you!

RE: Religious Repercussions.
I was part of a church that was very much like Seventh Day Adventists. I gave up a lot of good stage roles because of that. Not to brag, but I was very good on and behind stage. I was voted one of the top five in our group of actors. And I felt like I had to take off Friday night from sundown to Saturday because of it. (Side note: another actor was also part of the same church, but she was given exceptions because she was best friends with the family that was in charge.)

While that's not one of the main reasons I started the road to discovering my atheism, now that I look back on it, I get a bit frustrated. I gave up a few things I loved dearly because of that sabbath rule.

That is, however, one of the things that made me start reading the Bible to find out what it actually said.

Well, just to make an academic point here. You really should speak in modern lingo. I mean you can write: He comes. He comes all the time, and every time it's a mess. He may be a comer, but damn, does he have to come here?

Technically fine, but it leads people to wonder what you mean. I thought you were kind of speaking along these lines:

Nice effort for a derail, helped by Anjele.

Anjele, you keep telling me to "move on"/
I start a new thread........
It's content is distorted and twisted by your friend
You "like this" .
Well that's how some of you people operate.
"Move on".....excellent advice!
