RE: Reporter saves truck driver.
I'm just floored at the devastation.

I'm watching CNN now with the sound off.

But as if to knock me down, reality came around
And without so much as a mere touch, cut me into little pieces

Moms, are there forum members down there? If there are any in Houston the'd probably not have internet access.

This is horrible.

Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors.... on Donald J. Trump:

He is deformed, crooked, old, and sere,
Ill-fac’d, worse bodied, shapeless every where;
Vicious, ungentle, foolish, blunt, unkind,
Stigmatical in making, worse in mind.

It's not over, either. The good news is the storm is pulling out to sea. The bad news is it may come back. Per ABC, it looks like it will come back on Wednesday and then they expect it to finally head inland and break up. Hopefully that prediction is really the worst case scenario. Once it's back in warm water, who knows what really happens. I hope it's done by tomorrow or Thursday. Fingers crossed because those people really need something to break their way.

Once it finally stops raining, you figure it's 3 or 4 days for all the water to run off back into the Gulf. So, maybe by the end of the weekend they can start to assess how bad this was.

On the bright side, given the devastation, the number of reported deaths is surprisingly low, 14 reported dead as I type this. Hope that trends continue and no one else dies from this point on. And, to be clear: 14 isn't good but when you look at those images you think it could be 1,400 easily.

Shackle their minds when they're bent on the cross
When ignorance reigns, life is lost
