I suppose if we elected a serial killer or pedophile it would be worse.

It's amazing that a professor of neurosurgery from Yale who had a directoral position at Johns Hopkins Hospital can say with a straight face that he believes in creationism. He's either extremely deluded or he's resorted to using primal electoral pandering as a campaign strategy. Either way, it doesn't inspire much confidence in his brand.

That always surprised me also. But Neuro-surgeons in general are pretty pig-headed, in my experience. Never ever part of the "team". They always know best. Weeping Bucha frickin' prima-donnas. There was one from Harvard that wrote that idiotic book about "near death" experiences proving Jebus is true. Just because they are educated in one subject gives them NO authority in another.

Insufferable know-it-all.Einstein God has a plan for us. Please stop screwing it up with your prayers.

I think the phrase you're looking for, OLB, is damned by faint praise.

I agree.

However -- he is a neurosurgeon -- and did the first separation of twins co-joined at the head.

He might be a whackadoodle -- but he's a smart whackadoodle.....

.......

He's also got a high pitched nasal voice -- not exactly a voice that inspires confidence....... If he sounded like James Earl Jones - it'd be a bonus.....

I'm not saying he's my choice....

I'm simply pointing out he's the best the ( R )'s have got -- in my opinion....

It's sort of like saying Moe is the brainiest of the Three Stooges....................

Have you heard the things Carson has said though? He is just politically out of touch it is so bizarre.

I actually saw him do a presentation about his neuroscience at a college in 09, the advances as a black neuroscientist and doing breakthrough conjoined twin procedures is admirable... but that doesn't translate always to the social and political field.

Even at the speech I saw of him, he said 2 things that through me for a loop that made me go, huh strange, afterwards. I forget what one was, but at his end he made some reaching plea saying, I know it's acceptable these days to say positive things about eastern or buddhist type of religious thoughts but Christianity is sparred, but I have to say I know god is with us all in this actions... and something like that which people applauded.

It's nice there may be a couple republican candidates in Carson and Rand Paul that give us reasons to understand they actually know how human bodies function, since plenty candidates in the past clearly haven't, but it doesn't help when they don't seem to grasp realities of how societies function.

Not really. He's an asshole. Which makes him a perfect republicunt.

The GOP primary process reminds me of unloading the clown car.

If you can call it a race. We all know who's going to get the nomination.

Occasional TTA returner then leaverer.

Especially when it fits so well.....

Have you seen GOP primary voters? If Ronald Reagan or Jesus Christ were to run in the race, they'd both lose for being pinko-commie tree-hugging liberal socialists.

You seem to forget he has Chuck Norris as his personal campaign kicker. That's a instant nomination... because you know, it's 2006. That push for him was an old joke even in 2008 when he was running, which is just hilarious to realize, how old the joke felt by then.
