RE: Reputation arguments... AKA Reputations as Social Caste
Indifference is one choice among three choices. It is not a YES vote. The appropriate action of inaction has been taken: i scratched my bum.

I never expected this thread to get so messy, though i probably should have. I never expected the reputation rating to become so devalued and frivolous as it has lately, though i should have. This kind of thing happens in human groups. Best way to deal with it is to disentangle oneself and keep truckin', which is my intention.

If you pray to anything, you're prey to anything.

That is what I meant by some of the reasons given, in some of the reps, being embarrassing -- even to me who was not the recipient.

I never expected people to give value to a ratings system that has inherently no value. Which is what you all seem to be doing. It's a fucking lark people. Stop getting so worked up.

Storm in a teacup, lucradis -- I am now done with it. Smile

I only came back because Buddy tried to turn it into a class warfare! Big Grin

I think I'm just grumpy because I haven slept well lately so I heartily apologize if I've irritated anyone though I am proficient at it.

RE: Reputation arguments... AKA Reputations as Social Caste
Only thing I give a shit about is my warning level. If that creeps up it means one of the mods is bothered enough to notify me that cussing like the sailor I used to be is unacceptable. And I think it's too late to separate the sailor from my vernacular. It served a useful purpose in the Navy, like saving fucking lives. There's a world of difference between "Watch that line." and "WATCH THAT FUCKING LINE!" Like life and death difference.

As it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
And I will show you something different from either
Your shadow at morning striding behind you
Or your shadow at evening rising to meet you;
I will show you fear in a handful of dust.

Well we never got an official answer but I take it we're keeping the rep system?

Big Grin

Best and worst of Ferdinand .....
Best
Ferdinand: We don't really say 'theist' in Alabama. Here, you're either a Christian, or you're from Afghanistan and we fucking hate you.
Worst
Ferdinand: Everyone from British is so, like, fucking retarded.
