She was in fact, the "mother" of Israel, and was an historical person, (whereas, Abraham was not). Of course she never got any credit for what she did.

Was she abused, raped, murdered? Because what I want is stories of abuse/assault.

Here's a few disgusting things from the Bible.

http://voont.com/5-filthy-things-bible

This link has the story of gang rape and dismembering of a woman.

Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors.... on Donald J. Trump:

He is deformed, crooked, old, and sere,
Ill-fac’d, worse bodied, shapeless every where;
Vicious, ungentle, foolish, blunt, unkind,
Stigmatical in making, worse in mind.

Have you bothered to read the bible before asking this question?

I will call him a liar and a dog here and now.

A little from Timothy-

No rape in this, just a ton of disrespect.

RE: Research Advice on Stories from the Bible
I'm sorry, but I'm stuck on the depiction in art of rape during the pre and post Renaissance era. It's just strange to me. I suppose the artist was inhibited by the constraints of the time.

This is the Rape of the Sabine Women from c.1450 The story comes from Ancient Rome.

This is the same subject from the year 1583 by an Italian artist.

From the Victorian Era. A lovely and tender rape. Awww, how cute! Heart cough *sarcasm* .

Picasso finally got the horror of rape. The Rape of the Sabine Women by Picasso.

I know, once you get into looking these up it's like... WTF?

The Italian sculpture looks more like the throws of passion than the brutality of rape. Sad

I'm sure I am not a skilled enough artist to do this idea justice but I also had another idea. A collage. Doing a collage of images of renaissance artistically rendered rape from the bible in contrast to images of real rape. I've been forming this idea in my head overnight. I'm thinking a huge canvass maybe 6x8.

I need to do some research on copywrited materials but when I get started on this project I'll post it here. Thanks for the help with the images. Some of these are new to me. Smile
