Why would I respect religion when I'm an atheist? It's hypocritical.
No it isn't, I respect hobbies like collecting stamps but I don't collect stamps.
Yeah, but philatelists usually don't kill other philatelists because they want their collection. Or stunt humanity's intellectual, emotional and moral growth Yes

Apples and oranges.

I don't collect stamps either but that's not because I disagree with stamp collecting or somehow think video games are superior to stamp collecting and I sure as fuck don't look down on people because they collect stamps.

Theism on the other hand, as an atheist, is IMO total bollocks. As an atheist I'm not neutral towards it, I'm opposite it.
I have a chosen opposite opinion to theism.

Stamp collecting is just something I don't do. I don't have an active opposite opinion to collect stamps, I just don't.

Well, you should. Philatelists, philanderers, philistines, Dr. Phil - they're all philthy. Censored

RE: Respect for religion? Really?
If only people were logical. If only people saw the world for what it is, not what a dogma or a doctrine tells them it is. To be honest i feel bad for indoctrinated people turned into sheep by the power seekers, whether they be Christian, Jewish, Muslim, or whatever. Only when people are raised to be intelligent will the world find peace.

It's beyond heart-breaking.

RE: Respect for religion? Really?
I've lost respect for religion a long time ago. I still hold respect for certain people despite them being religious, but I give none for the concept as a whole. All you have to do is read the front cover of your morning newspaper to see reports such as these. Its a disgrace to mankind, is what it is.

Lucius

We should punish people who are abducted for participating in a kidnap.

And if you're robbed, you should be charged with dealing with stolen goods.
