Rewrite the Big Bang Theory???
Aussie researchers attempt to rewrite the Big Bang Theory. Check this article out.

C'mon Science Nerds, rip this one apart if you can Big Grin

I'm not a big fan of the Big Bang Theory as I find it hard to believe that something came from nothing for no good reason (not that reason is required here) so maybe this could be a little more feasible. I'm not sure of anything in this instance and I'm certainly no theoretical physicist.

For a moment I though you were talking about the TV show "The Big Bang Theory" Tongue

if your faith can move mountains it should be able to withstand criticism

RE: Rewrite the Big Bang Theory???
I find this theory very intriguing.

Interestingly if this proves to be an acceptably theory, the scientists will say "fuck yeah!", whip out their calculators and start trampling over (peer reviewing) each other in the race for new models / Nobel prizes / book deals in the search for truth; whereas, the catholic church will have to issue yet another apology for being wrong and declare a new dogma that their sheep must believe.

Of course, it's much more likely that you Aussies simply see observations of the universe differently through your telescopes because you don't have an ozone layer!

Chas, maybe you fire up the ol' telescope and see if you can spot any cracks! Yes

Yes, we do have scientists - they live in the trees with the Koala's Rolleyes

EDIT: Yes, I know Erx will come out with Uranus somewhere here Dodgy

How can you observe light bending???

Is it the same sort of method they use to find black holes I wonder Consider

For no matter how much I use these symbols, to describe symptoms of my existence.

RE: Rewrite the Big Bang Theory???
Which sounds more appealing:

The Big Bang Theory?

Quach's Crack Theory?

On a side (panel) note... Aurora's link (which sounds like another euphemism) took me to the Miss World Winners. Aside from the fact that I thought that that kinda nonsense had died out already, I noticed that the three first places echo my own shift in lasciviousness: Wales (the land of my fathers), Australia (where I have fond, fondling memories) and China (I'm off to HK today).

This has nothing to do with Crack Theory. Just sayin'

If the light from a star is bent by a gravitational field, it will appear to be in a different position. This effect was first confirmed during a solar eclipse by observing stars visually close to the sun; there apparent position shifted.

Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.
Science is not a subject, but a method.

I would think Aussie scientists are just observing everything upside down. I bet I they flipped their telescopes they wouldn't need to re-write anything.

Tongue

It was just a fucking apple man, we're sorry okay? Please stop the madness Laugh out load
