Romney's Sandy Situation. (vid)
I am putting this here as it's directly political; should fit anyway.

TJ's vids as of late aint been all that hot, but he hammers this one out of the park with simple reality.

RE: Romney's Sandy Situation. (vid)
This is why Romney will be president. Stupid cheap shots that make no argument why Obama should be re-elected.

People want to vote for something. That's how Obama got elected in 2008.

"Romney is the devil" is a loosing strategy and has been for about 3 months now.
Someone should have told Obama this in July.

The old gods are dead, let's invent some new ones before something really bad happens.

Simple reality? His points arnt exactly ground breaking, and he delivering with a very -fat loser in HS is jealous of the football star- kinda way.

Mitt flip flopping?
Winter olympics success?
Tax rate last year?
Gee, those are fresh talking points. Its pretty hard to see why the federal gov. has all that money when you, like this guy, have big governments balls fully cupped.

What was Mitt doing in 2011 for work, and how much did he make?

Ironic how he admits using footage of Romney, that the federal government overpaid for something. Republicans and democrats love to spend money we dont have, they just cant agree on what.

....Right. Let's examine, for a moment, how Obama and Romney reacted to Hurricane Sandy.

Obama canned his campaigning, high tailed it back to the White House, got FEMA and several other federal organizations into high gear, and arranged for some 2+Million to be freed up for disaster relief - just to get the ball rolling.

Romney 'cancelled' his campaigning - only to show up, exactly at the places he was originally scheduled to be at, making 'donation drives' while continuing to push his political agenda. Interesting, since in the past Romney has called repeatedly for the end of FEMA.
Think about that for a moment. A guy who is highly religious, personally worth well over 100mil, never minding his considerable corporate and business ties; he wants to kill a federal agency whose specific job is to respond to disasters when they strike home. He wants to 'privatize them'.

Obama, on the other hand, upon realizing the raw destruction that Sandy was wreaking, ensured that FEMA had the funds to do their jobs.

Hmm.

Perhaps a pic or two may be more useful here.

So. Never minding, for a moment, this SOB wants to force religion into primary education and federal workplaces, never minding for a moment he will do all he can to destroy LGBT rights, never minding for a moment he and his party HAVE actively worked to reduce women into baby factories - denied abortions even if they have been RAPED, Never minding ALL of that; this rich little twat wants to destroy a federal agency whose job it is to respond to disasters that level entire towns, cities, AND occasionally states.

Yahhhuhh. Sheer. Brilliance.

That fact you feel one of them is righteous in this case is what is laughable. You give credit to the president for doing his job? In this case, obama can't afford to golf/campaign, being as he played hooky on the bengazi thing that a large % of the media is trying to ignore.

Hording funds for gov programs is what Obama does. Look at his resume(its a quick read). Its just this time, its actually for a essential government service that benefits the greater population.

You being shocked by Romneys snake in the grass act isnt a good look. Most people expect it from him. Your whole last paragraph screams of beta sounding whine. In case you didnt realize, most people dont give a fuck about LGTBWTVUIJKlPJK issues during a great recession. Maybe once you jump off the blue state vs red state bandwagon, you can come dishout some actual(non partisan) criticism.

Nate Silver's model's now got Obama at close to a 4:1 favorite.

Breathing - it's more art than science.

Righteous? No. Pointing out he actually IS doing his job - to the point that a certain horse breeding moron would actually criticize him for moving TOO fast ( http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-...ds-newsxml )
While his opponent, well, aint doing a damned thing productive to HELP - when he (romney) certainly has access to a lot that could make a huge difference.

Im not shocked in the slightest by the fact he is slime - Im continually disappointed in humanity that continue to support this pond scum (including on my side of the border). This isnt to say that Obama is perfect - simply vastly preferable. Fact is, no one in the third parties will ever have a hope in the fiery side of Hades of ever getting in, and ultimately not voting for Obama simply means one more vote in his opponent's favor. Hells, even Chris Christy (Prolly misspelled that) has made it clear he is very much in favor in Obama given recent events.

Also, Lets talk for a minute about LGBT rights. Their struggle is one atheists should be paying very close attention to - in that their battles mirror our own. Atheists really get it easy compared to them - one need only keep one's mouth SHUT when dealing with fundies if wishing to avoid trouble. LGBT folk - especially trans folk - dont get that option. They are always targeted by sh!tbags like romney and his crew, why? Cmon, same reason we are here boys, girls and those in between - Because their bible TELLS them to. (not that it does directly, but thats the fundy excuse.)

But then I suppose I should of known that being atheist and being politically aware are two different things.
