Running out of podcasts...suggestions wanted.
I listened to all of TTA's podcasts in just a couple of weeks...now I need more podcasts to keep my mind occupied at work where we can't have Internet or any other form of "not work". Only Ipods and the like.

Would love to learn more about Atheism and more about other religions (I am fascinated by some of the bizarre belief systems) and I am also a crime geek. Even studying criminology. Fascinated by serial killers and other true crime.

Suggestions greatly appreciated.

No porn or SciFi...I have some personal standards.

Well the first thing that came to mind are the podcasts I just tuned into called, "Living After Faith." But I'm not sure how interested you would find them as they're similar to TTA, just a lot shorter. My attraction for the podcast is the host, Rick Lyons, was a pastor for 20 years and had to go through all sorts of PTSD issues as he de-converted. That's kind of right up my alley for addressing my own de-conversion and de-pastoring issues.

Here's the link for Living After Faith.

The Atheist Experience shows are an hour each and there are about 750 of them. Plenty of awesomeness to pass time with.

You can download all their shows in various formats at their site.

RE: Running out of podcasts...suggestions wanted.
The thinking atheist has podcasts not the forum. If you remove the /forum part of the url you'll be taken to Seth's website where his podcasts are available. Or you can always go to yutube. It would be interesting if the thinking atheist forum made podcasts =p

On that note I keep forgetting to ask why the banner at the top doesn't link to the main site. I've yet to find a direct link back to it from the forum.

I'm not a non believer, I believe in the possibility of anything. I just don't let the actuality of something be determined by a 3rd party.

It's small (like I haven't heard that before!), but there is a link at the bottom of each page.

RE: Running out of podcasts...suggestions wanted.
Listened to some of Living After Faith today. I like the content but the woman seems to be way happier than is normal. I like Seth's style so much that it just may take some time to get used to these two.

Although mine was not a struggle to break away, just a process really, I like to hear about the aspects of different faiths and why there was such a strong hold as well as the things that made people start to question. I also really like to hear ex-clergy because they have the Biblical references stored in a part of their brains that I lack. My first exposure to this was Dan Barker...both reading his books and listening to the radio show some years back.

Have downloaded some from The Athiest Experience and will check them out tomorrow.

Thanks!
