I accept the banana as a family memeber.

Richard Dawkins actually does believe we are related to the banana because we are related to the banana.

All life on earth shares a common ancestor.

Alert- extreme hair splitting ahead

Most likely all life shares a common ancestor but the recent finding of the virus with very different DNA recently opens up the possibility of different ancestors albeit remote.

Viruses are arguably not alive.

I'm pretty sure RNA is a contender for early DNA based life to have evolved from, so unless my info is out of date devil's point is still valid....however remote.

Quote:“Because more than 93 per cent of pandoraviruses genes resemble nothing known, their origin cannot be traced back to any known cellular lineage. However, their DNA polymerase does cluster with those of other giant DNA viruses, suggesting the controversial existence of a fourth domain of life,” the virologists wrote in the Science paper.

I think that it would be wise of Comfort to drop fruits as examples of articles designed specifically for our use by a benevolent being. God did a shit job of efficiently color coding the poisonous ones for us humans, we had to figure out which ones were safe to eat the hard way.

I didn't think that was a serious comment by Ray; I had to look him up. His Facebook page is pretty toxic. Debate and rational discussion are invited to go elsewhere.

If Jesus died for our sins, why is there still sin? If man was created from dust, why is there still dust? If Americans came from Europe, why are there still Europeans?
