This is Sarah Palin we're talking about here. I doubt she has the brain capacity to remember the whole alphabet. Dodgy

Where I live churches are aggressive about keeping a monopoly on all things charitable. You HAVE to pray or at least listen the spiel to get free meals and they have a mandatory Christian service at the one homeless shelter. I've met people in AA who have chosen to sleep on the streets because they believe in another denomination, like Pentecostal instead of Baptist, and they're afraid that staying there could compromise their salvation. But if you try to set up a shelter or feed the homeless with something like Food Not Bombs the police will stop you for not having a permit or whatever.

I'm still amazed she ever got into public office. Never liked her. She tried to put a gorram bounty on the severed body parts of wolves--an animal that is already struggling to compete with people and is regularly gunned down from bush planes--in order to 'save' moose and elk for hunters.

As if we didn't have enough moose killing people each year. I never once saw a wolf up there.

Ignorance is not to be ignored.

It's not exactly a new American conservative position. Reagan went on a lenghty rant about socialised medicine opening the door for the commies.

I even remember one clip where they had trucks shipping innocent workers into concentration camps, because socialised medicine only being the first step there.

That's how they think. It's bootstraps or rot in the streets. How dare this guy donating to a program that actually betters lives and provides for the needy?

Quote: Sarah Palin sparked outrage by criticizing an NFL player for donating $50k to Meals on Wheels, a program benefitting seniors and the disabled, which is facing possiblefunding cuts under Donald Trump‘s new budget.

The title of her blog post on the topic is, “SERIOUSLY? Colin Kaepernick Just Pulled ANOTHER Political Stunt…” Obviously, her use of “another” refers to Kaepenick’s decision not to stand for the national anthem in protest of police brutality. In a tweet linking to the post, she mused, “No wonder he can’t get a job…” in reference to reports that some NFL teams don’t want to hire him. The post itself outlines her oppositional argument, which is that it has yet to be confirmed that Meals on Wheels will lose funding.

What a stupid, heartless bitch.

At least she can keep a good watch on the Russians out her window, for us. Rolleyes

As with many "causes" that Dumpy & Gang threaten to defund, if they actually do it, it will paradoxically spark more private support than they had before.

Insufferable know-it-all.Einstein God has a plan for us. Please stop screwing it up with your prayers.

I didn't said that it was new position.

Hayek book The Road to Serfdom painted the same picture from what little I know about it. Wasn't it his views which influenced Reagan?

Honestly on a scale of idiocy from 1 to 10 Palin words were 11.

The first revolt is against the supreme tyranny of theology, of the phantom of God. As long as we have a master in heaven, we will be slaves on earth.

Hayek is an idol for many conservatives. So it might well be that Reagan fell for his views.

It's also such a stupid idea of socialised medicine being the first step to servdom. It was Bismarck who first introduced the concept in Europe. And he certainly wasn't a social justice warrior with a bleeding heart for the great unwashed.

I guess she thinks people can't do anything without ulterior motives. Sheds a little light on how she operates, doesn't it?

I don't believe that she criticized him for donating to the program. I think she assumed that he was not genuine in this good deed. I think she assumed that he is hypocrite.
But it is wrong to judge someone's heart, conscience. She has to leave him alone. If she is Christian she has to know this.
I feel bad for poor Kaepernick. I don't support him kneeling but I don't want to punish him for this. I wish him all the best.

Same way Rob Ford did. The lack of sunlight leaves the voters starving for entertainment.
