When I was growing up the way home from school led past a farmer's market. They had Sauerkraut and pickles in big barrels there. For a couple pennies they'd give you a piece of wax paper loaded up with fresh, uncooked Sauerkraut, or a huuuge pickle. YUM!!!!!

I live in the homeland of the world's best sausage, and this saturday there is going to be a sausage festival :L

It worked, it is ready, and it is really good Drooling

Chopped white cabbage, a couple table spoons of sea salt, 15 minutes of massaging, then leaving alone in a loosely closed jar at room temperature for a few days. So ridiculously simple of a recipe, and so much better than the vinegar infused stuff from the supermarket; everyone should try it :L
