Science Quiz - Astrophysics
http://science.howstuffworks.com/astroph...i600003487

Sped through it, 23/30 guessed a few right answers.

28/30 for me.

One silly mistake the other one a genuine "I didn't know that".

The invisible and the non-existent look very much alike

28/30. One misclick, another I guessed. Apparently the opposite of dark matter is baryonic matter.

Give me your argument in the form of a published paper, and then we can start to talk.

25/30 ... doubting my own knowledge, as usual... kicking self for three of those.

Sad

29/30 - should have been 30/30 but I wasn't thinking...

I don't think they meant to imply that baryonic matter is the opposite of dark matter. The were asking what normal matter was called "as opposed to dark matter" which only meant they were excluding dark matter from the question and trying to clarify what they were asking about.

RE: Science Quiz - Astrophysics
26/30 - Not too bad I guess for someone who hasn't really kept up with things.

If I posted that quiz amongst family & friends, I would guess an avg score of 9 from simply guessing.
I have a low astrophysics opinion of their knowledge.

I have to thank Hafnof for the baryonic. There is good chance I would have picked it anyway. The other choices were crap.

Insanity - doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results

RE: Science Quiz - Astrophysics
27/30

That was too easy for a REAL Astrophysics quiz. I mean I'm no Astrophysicist but even I know that was first grade stuff as far as Astronomy goes. Any Tom, Dick, and Harry could easily get a good score on that if they read random science articles all the time like I do. Again, not saying I'm an expert. Just saying the test was too easy.

29/30. I guessed on one and got it wrong.

Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.
