Charismatic guy in that video, but it doesn't make him right. Some of his points are appealing for being partially right, or nearly right, such as what he says about science not being able to view anything that isn't current. He's partially right, but his error is fixating on that and using it to invalidate all of evolution. Which is typical thinking for a non-scientist, actually.

Oh, and welcome to the forums.

That's a hundred percent false, actually. We can, just to name an example, see stars, planets and galaxies the way the were hundreds of millions, sometimes even billions of years ago. As for evolution, the fossil record, among other things, gives us insight into the way things were before we were around to observe them with our own eyes.

Yeah, he admitted the starlight thing, so credit where credit is due. Fossil record is nice but appears to be incomplete, which makes it seem unreliable. Therefore, partially right. And partially wrong (more wrong than right, I'd say). But that kinda-correct feel to his arguments make them marginally appealing.

I can see how people believe this stuff.

A good scumbag always mixes a *lot* of truth in with his bullshit. Sometimes even 95% I suspect.

Science against evolution
Without evolution, Pokemon would be a boring game.

Simple, they are misusing the concept of evolution and the term 'evolving'. What happens when your Poke'Mon 'evolves' is that it's physiology completely changes. In the same way that a caterpillar changes into a cocoon, and changes again into a butterfly. That sort of change is not evolution, it is metamorphosis.

And apparently somebody doesn't recognize humor.
