I prefer peated whiskies.
I tried to get into 12y/o single malts (limited budget) but 12y/o blends like Walker Black and Double Black were just more enjoyable to me.
Did get a bottle of Blue Lable for my birthday earlier this year though. Good times!

Crown is pretty decent as far as Canadian whiskeys go. I do prefer the black as it has a little more bourbon feel to it, and I would say it is a bit smoother.

Good input, thanks for the reply. I think I'll purchase a bottle of the Black next chance I get, then.

I recently picked up a bottle of single malt by Arran aged in Amarone Casks. It is really interesting but certainly not for new Scoth drinkers. I would highly recommend their regular 10 year old (no flavored cask finish). You can pick it up for a good price.

RE: Scotch lovers thread!
I picked up a bottle of Aberlour Abunadh Batch 45.

It's a bottle of 120 (60%) proof yumminess. It has dark amber color.

Once you cut it with a little water you get many amazing flavors. Even without the water you get a great taste at full strength.

Strangely, I haven't tried it with MD.Blink

I just picked up two new bottles.

Glenfarclas 105 - I've had this before and it's wonderful.

I also picked up a 21 Year Old Glenfarclas...can't wait to get into that one.
