Nice insinuation. But nope, multiple buses in Ohio and Texas, all unpadded. Hm, come to think of it I stopped riding the bus around 2007, so more recently than that they may have been padded. But when I was in school they were not, at least not in those districts.

Keep in mind, policies on this sort of thing vary hugely from state to state and district to district.

Swingable metal projectiles on buses.....what could possibly go wrong.

WOW! I always wondered what it would be like it a bus rolled on its side. Our school bus went over a really tight bridge over a river and I thought one day we might fall into the river, and as a kid, my imagination ran wild.

Anyway, there used to be seat belts on the school bus every so often, however if you were 'cool' you never wore them. Yes, I never wore mine making me one cool cookie. Tongue
