Selling God
So this is streaming on Amazon Prime...

I usually avoid god thing on TV, but this so far is pretty good. It's about the modern evangelical movement as compared to modern marketing.

Made me think about the dude who just joined spouting about being the true christian.

I'll update this, of course if it turns out it sucks....but so far I'm enjoying it.

It's got Kirk Cameron in it, so it should be good for at least a few laughs. Actually it's got a who's who of evangelical idiots listed.
Laugh out load

How much you're asking?

On second thought, I think I'll pass - am spending more than enough money as it is, what with living in Brazil and everything...

Was half expecting a Craigslist link.

It's actually really good. It really compares religion to a pyramid scheme. They're selling salvation.

It begins with explaining where the religions came from (that part is short), and how they use the bible to gather new members flock and the scare tactics they use to hold on to them. They make the case for that people when they're older tend to return to the church because of the idea of Pascal's Wager.

The preachers always know the heart and mind of jesus and he's always thinking exactly how they think. Laugh out load

They're selling God? Hmmm. I'm not buying.

Where are we going and why am I in this hand basket?

Neither are the people who made the film. I wish some of my religious friends on fb would watch this.

*sigh*

Fine.

I'll be god for eighty bucks.

Just don't hurt me.

Don't let those gnomes and their illusions get you down. They're just gnomes and illusions.

RE: Selling God
I played God in a stage production of Mark Twain's The Diaries of Adam and Eve. I was perfectly abominable to live with during rehearsals. Because my "go to" for anything I didn't want to do was a haughty "I am GOD..." I'd do it again. For free.
