Ah, have you tried shooting the person?

I prefer to keep both hands on the wheel. Dodgy

I've got it pretty well, mainly from spending a lot of time spent in foreign cutie getting lost, and from hiking cross-country.

Hospitals flummox me, though.

I use the sky for direction, unless it's cloudy.

I can look at a map for a few minutes and figure out a route. Then I don't need to look at the map again.

And I fucking despise those talking GPS gadgets. Angry

They actually distract me. I still like looking at a map and like you I get it into my head before I head out. Sometimes I write the directions down in pencil which helps me to remember it. ONe thing I like to do is hit the google street map thingy so I can get a visual idea of what the building or house looks like.

I love old maps. They're so interesting.

He is deformed, crooked, old, and sere,
Ill-fac’d, worse bodied, shapeless every where;
Vicious, ungentle, foolish, blunt, unkind,
Stigmatical in making, worse in mind.

I've always wanted to spend some time in a foreign cutie, I hear it is a very stimulating experience...if ya know what I mean.

RE: Sense of Direction. (or not)
When it comes to navigating a city, I'm awful. I get lost with my GPS. Unless I've travelled a route 30 or so times, I rely on my GPS (had a fun experience once getting home when the battery died. I used the sun and my compass! xD).

Now, if it's a forest, it's much easier for me. I really only need to go through the woods once or twice to get a good feel of the area. I used to make maps of the woods by the houses where I lived from my out of my head. I'd give them to friends to help them find our secret tree base.

I suppose it's because we're wired to pick out patterns in things. Urban areas are overloaded with patterns and similarly shaped objects. Lot's if symmetry.

Forests, not so much, so maybe the unique patterns and landmarks are easier to discern?

Ignorance is not to be ignored.

I am not so bad at spatial orientation, when I am on foot or on bike. In car, I have much more problem and when it comes to pathfinding in video game for exemple, I turn left twice and i am lost for two hours.
