Sense of "self".
What I mean by "self" is your thought process, the voice in your head, consciousness, ego.

Can you describe it, limited to one sentence?
Where is your sense of self? Does it exist purely within your head, behind your eyes or is it something else?
Is it a feeling? Can you describe the feeling in one sentence?

Be interested to hear peoples views, I may add more questions whilst I ponder this whilst eating my dinner.

For no matter how much I use these symbols, to describe symptoms of my existence.
You are your own emphasis.
So I say nothing.

It's a sense that only appears when you think about it

I am merely the Prime Minister of an unruly Parliament.

RE: Sense of "self".
Nice answers, however they are not the answers to my questions. I never asked for what the sense of self is. I asked people to describe how their sense of self is to them, if it has a feeling and what it means to experience it and where you feel it may be rooted (if anywhere)

For no matter how much I use these symbols, to describe symptoms of my existence.

I am, what I am.

My sense of self, is what I am and everything I could hope to be.
