RE: Should I try skydiving?
I'd go..

If the plane was on fire....
The engine had blown up...
The horizontal stabilizer fell off....
And I was feeling very depressed.....

Other than that FUCK NO!!!!!

Do it. Then get certified so you can go solo, and it gets cheaper and more fun.

My dad was a paratrooper in the army and hated it. In fact, when he jumped, instead of saying Geronimo, he would yell, "Don't wanna goooooooooooooooo!!"

Check out my now-defunct atheism blog. It's just a blog, no ads, no revenue, no gods.

Repeated landings in full battle rattle can be hard on your body. Doing it casually is a little more fun.

I'm happy being a mountain soldier. Airborne is not my cup of tea. Skydiving for fun is good times though.

It's on my bucket list.

My list of things not to do.

1) Skydiving

2) Contracting Ebola

3) Attending church service

4) A cancer diagnosis

That's a partial list, of course.

He is deformed, crooked, old, and sere,
Ill-fac’d, worse bodied, shapeless every where;
Vicious, ungentle, foolish, blunt, unkind,
Stigmatical in making, worse in mind.

I did a tandem jump a few years ago. First chute didn't open. I remember thinking, 'Oh. So this is how it ends.' The instructor cut the chute away and opened the reserve. Loved the experience, possibly even more so due to the added thrill.

If you do decide to jump, you'd better pray to all the gods beforehand, just in case.

I will be sure to pray to Amaterasu and Tsukiyomi most of all! lol

RE: Should I try skydiving?
I've done it once and it was the best experience of my life. Sadly I am now at the very tip of the weight limit 245lb and my knees are shot from hiking in battle rattle (full contact fighting didn't help either). However, my weight loss goal is 225lb. My gift to myself is more jumps.

Liberty loving, gun owning Atheist. Don't worry it confuses the right as well.

It's so much fun. Go for it. Zero gravity. It's wild! I can't wait to go again
