Should religion be preserved in some form as a part of history?
I was thinking about something recently...When the world makes its final switch to secularism, SHOULD religious ideas and views be preserved as a part of our history? Copies of the Qur'an, the Bible and the Torah saved and treated as treasured historical artifacts, or should it be erased entirely as a symbol of our more ignorant past?

It's called mythology

Welcome back, sunshine.

We should keep them, yeah, but next to the mythologies of ancient Greek, Egypt, Aztec, and other religions. Mainly to teach of the past so it doesn't repeat.

The Iliad and the Odyssey were over romanticized. The mindset today is generally against religion, and so I was thinking that many wouldn't WANT to preserve it. I'm not sure, myself.

I was just about to post the same sentiments as DLJ, yes it is a big part of our history, and should remain so as a reminder of what religion can do to a society.

Sunshine. Interesting choice of words, but thanks XD. Anyways, I guess you're right on that one. Despite what the show Family Guy says, we never tried to write Hitler out of history.

Put Theism in the "T" section next to "Toilets."

Theism is to believe what other people claim, Atheism is to ask "why should I".

Well, I guess that's one way to make everyone happy.
