They / you have a creationist VP but...

An atheist POTUS

Evidence:
No god-fearing politician (or even a politically savvy one) would forget the obligatory "God Bless America" at the end of their acceptance speech.

I put it to you, ladles and gentlespoons, that Donny J Trump is neither god-fearing nor politically savvy.

Go to 15:40

He ended with "I love this country".

(Perhaps it was one syllable too long and he was referring to Mr. Pence?)

I'm looking forward to what will be in his inauguration speech.

No doubt the speech writer will add in those three words but the dozy fucker goes off script so much I wouldn't be surprised if he forgets.

So, the wider question ... he is obviously a non-believer (faking it to get the evangelical vote) ... in which case, how will that work out with a VP who is going to push prayer and creationism in schools and whatnot?

Will Trump continue to play along, or will his self-importance and bluntness get the better of him?

Consider

I've never gotten the sense that President Trump is religious. That fact that I don't know where he really stands on this issue says a lot. Mike Pence however is and I've had religious people in my family express a desire for Trump to resign after he wins and hand the reins to Pence. I've asked them why in the world he would do that when he fought so hard to win and he has said the only reason he got in the race is that things have gotten so bad that he felt he had to step up because no one else has the right ideas. He is a very successful business man, which in our current conditions means he has to be pragmatic to a certain extent. But on the other hand he doesn't seem to be bothered with pissing people off.

I'd like to add that I voted for Trump. Although I find some of his ideas to be bad, he's a mixed case of some individualism and some collectivism, he is the one businessman who does not apologize for his success. He's proud of what he's done and why shouldn't he be? He would never give a speech like President Obama did, you didn't build that. He is for the individual and he loves the ideas that made this country great, individual achievement, the pursuit of one's own happiness and one's own purpose. He doesn't apologize for America's success either. I'm sick and tired of these effete, wussy men who walk on eggshells for fear of offending someone unless that person is a conservative or a white male. He's not afraid to name our enemies. He's a winner and that's the real reason the left hates him so much. They hate him for the same reason they hate Walmart, Bill Gates (until he gave all his money away) and for the same reason people hate the guy in school who always got an A on the big test. They hate him because he is a winner and they are not. Misogynist? His campaign manager was a woman. She was the first woman to ever run a successful presidential campaign. She broke that "glass ceiling" but no one is mentioning that little fact, because she's not a liberal/ socialist. Trump is a bad ass and that's exactly what America needs. He reminds me a lot of my Grandfather. A lot of people didn't like him but they sure as hell respected him. Enough with the sniveling wussy-men. He's got a great big brass pair and a spine the size of Missouri. He makes me want to stand up and cheer and it's been a long time since anyone has done that in politics. He's not my first choice, that would be Walter E. Williams, my favorite person in the world, but Trump will be a good second.

I wan't going to vote in this election but as I watched him in action I grew to love him, despite his flaws. Who doesn't have flaws?

If he was proud then why did he refuse to disclose his tax statements?

He's recently proclaimed to be pro-life which means he isn't supportive of women's rights. He is of the opinion that it is each American's purpose to support the fetus' rights above that of the mother. He thinks it is acceptable to reach out and grab a woman by the pussy, he doesn't not care about the woman's right to remain unmolested. He considers an American to be a white male Christian.

He assumes Mexicans coming into the America are the worst of the worst, that they are rapists. He assumes Muslims are terrorists.

He is a divider of peoples.

America is way behind many other western countries. I would not count America as a success.

Many men genuinely hold respect of others, respect of women, respect of Mexicans, respect of Muslims, respect of people that are different from ourselves. It is no wussy to have respect. It is wussy to be so fearful of Mexicans as to proposing building a wall, and so fearful of Muslims as to ban then coming into the country. Trump's campaign has been built on the fears of the white male American, he appeals to them. He has united the cowards and in numbers has given them bravery so much as they can apply force to drive away those that they collectively fear.

He is so afraid of your enemies, he is trying to avoid anyone that might look anything like them.
