Sir Roger Moore passes away
As if this week wasn't garbage enough, we loose another legend along the way.

Sir Roger Moore, best known for his James Bond movies and his stint as "The Saint" prior to that, was one of my favourite Bond's. Camp at times, but just the right amount of tongue-in-cheek for me.

RIP Roger, "Nobody does it better". Weeping

Crap. He was a gentleman who will be missed.

But as if to knock me down, reality came around
And without so much as a mere touch, cut me into little pieces

Rest in peace, 007.

Fun fact, he worked hard on turning cockney into gentleman. He started out as cockney, but he will always be remembered for presenting the gentleman.

He always seemed like a really nice gentleman and so very British. Sorry to hear he's not around anymore.

Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors.... on Donald J. Trump:

He is deformed, crooked, old, and sere,
Ill-fac’d, worse bodied, shapeless every where;
Vicious, ungentle, foolish, blunt, unkind,
Stigmatical in making, worse in mind.

When I wrote, "gentleman" I actually was referring to demeanor. He was a gentle man.

They are a rare breed to be sure, and it has nothing to do with an accent.

He also could read poetry like no other. I listened to him reading stuff on the radio. I like the fact that he came from a lowly cockney village and heritage to turn into the image of british gentleman. Also true for his accent, which fit the part perfectly.
