RE: Small Things That Make You Smile Thread
Oddly, I am smiling because someone has been hired to be over me. All the things that I have tried to fix but have been met with resistance will now be fixed. He's a good guy and has the power and authority I don't have. Looking forward to seeing some changes at work that have been needing to happen finally get done.

He starts Monday though I have met him and worked with him before...he told me to bring my helmet. HAHA! Shit's gonna get done now the right way and he can be the bad guy.

Finally, someone's gonna have my back and I can relax and let a little of the stress go.

Thumbsup

That's so good to hear !!! You SO damn deserve this.

I was also gonna write a note about my part time job, but though it sounded sorta "boasty" and thought I better not. But turns out all my playing with Excel files to keep track of horse racing stats, (macro development, VBA programming, programmer development files, pivot tables, graphs) in conjunction with my experience (although limited, but there, ... with Cardiology from doing rounds with dad and sitting at telemetry and in the Cath Lab in the hospital ... at Cedars-Sinai ), there was a job posted for "Joint Commission Myocardial Infarction Compliance", and I thought "What the hell, why not apply" ?. They offered it to me today, (by) the VP of Cardiology !!! It was written for an MS RN salary. Will pay for all the rest of my education. I'm still pinching myself "Did this really happen to me ???". Jebus Christ. Dad is so proud of me. Made my god damn YEAR ! Acceptance in Med School is assured. Smile

Doctors getting nursing licenses

Laugh out load I think I just peed myself.

Gotta love nurse humor.

I love mango flavored iced tea. It's a special treat at some restaurants. Found some and ordered it online. Got here yesterday - I am addicted!

Went to the main website and they have blood orange syrup too - another order will be placed this weekend.

Drooling

I'll have to look for it.

What I got is a syrup to add to regular tea...it's awesome! And it doesn't take much.

Double strength Earl Grey with sugar in the raw poured over a tall glass of ice, and garnished with mint leaves. Oooh yeh. Smile Best way to have sweet iced tea. This time of year, though, I'll drink my tea hot, but primarily stick to coffee. Drinking Beverage

My wireless internet works now!! for the first time in 3 months, I can mindlessly watch cat videos, look up porn, and whatever without being told that I'm using up my 3G speed! Oh...sweet Jesus Christ...
