Yes, it was very nice. Heart

Also, this was the first Christmas with Rev here in person, and first Christmas without my dad. I had been worried the day would be awful because of that last part, but we had a really nice day. Shy I thought about dad all day but I didn't dwell on it, if that makes any sense. I just took the day as it came and it turned out very nicely. Oh, and I got a whole tin of cookies just for me! ^__^

Thank you, Rev, for making this Christmas a good one. Heart Hug Heart

We had Christmas at the niece's house in Ballard. On the way out we drove across the Freemont bridge and along south Lake Union, enjoying all the construction cranes decked out with christmas lighting.
On a whim I drove through downtown Seattle to look at the lights, instead of getting right on the freeway. There was little to no traffic and it made us both smile.

I sat with my arm around my niece, she with her head on my shoulder, as she watched a cartoon. Considering I did not expect to be alive now, it was pretty special. Smile

The thought of normal service being resumed when I get back home tomorrow.

It's pretty hard-nipple cold here in Beijing but not a frozen-tits-off -28C like Ulaanbaatar.

+28C in KL tomorrow ... oh yes! Joy at the thought.

(For the metrically challenged, that's -18F yesterday to +82F tomorrow)

And for the geographically challenged what is KL?

Everybody take the week off but don't let your guard down. The planning sessions for next year's war on Christmas begin Monday, January 4th.
