They know how to name their horsies down in Australia.

But Boaty McBoatface may not be allowed.

Fuck you, Britain! Boaty McBoatface is the best ship name since Enterprise.

I found it funny that the article didn't mention the naming incidents related to Stephen Colbert. The International Space Station's Tranquility Module was supposed to be named for him, by internet vote, but they overrode it. At least NASA had the class to name a treadmill after him and send an astronaut, Suni Williams, to announce their renege on Colbert's show. Similarly, the Colbert Nation tried to have a bridge in Budapest, Hungary named after him, the Megyeri bridge.

Not so fast.

The ship in question was eventually named RRS Sir David Attenborough.

But fear not: Boaty McBoatface still is the official name of the Attenborough's ROV.

Listening to a "20 Mysterious Deaths involving conspiracies" type video while working. One of these gentlemen is quite talented...he felt he was being pursued by the "Jewish Mafia" and others, and kept writing to President Bush for help. He even got a reply saying that President Bush couldn't help. Then he died in like 1977, long before we had either President Bush. Wink

Need to think of a witty signature.

Coffee from Papua just arrived. Hope it will be as good as exotic.

She grew up with Godzilla, she loves him. She would probably have him as a pet if she could.

RE: Small Things That Make You Smile Thread
My mother (who doesn't know I'm atheist) asked me and my brother (also atheist) if we'd help her and her church harvest some of their crops. They have a garden that helps feed the needy. Most of the ones who handle the garden are up in age, so they occasionally need relatively younger people to help.

So he and I are down in the dirt, digging up root vegetables and shaking them so the older folks can gather them and the handful of teens and preteens who finally showed up could run them to the other side of the field. We also handled other tasks.

They've been talking about my brother and I did the most amount of physical work than anyone there. Been over a week and they're still amazed at how much we did.

Guess we'll get another compliment of being "good Christian boys."
