Smile or Smirk.
I have belonged to a laughter club for a few years and decided recently to conduct a personal survey on street smiling.

When walking in town i put a smile on my dial,sort of laughing to myself; I then make eye contact, or try to, preferably with women.

The results have been far from encouraging. Close to 90% just walk by as if in a daze, many engrossed in their mobile phone. Of the remaining 10%.....some display anger,bemusement, surprise, hortiness, embarassement and occasionally a smile of varying dimension. One gay man actually said "haiiiii!

I guess they're thinking 'whats the hells with that lecturous old leering looney'......Big Grin

The laughter club wasn't one of those that just get you to start laughing at nothing, was it?

In a laughter group peeps get together and physically and verbally mime various constructed laugh routines. After each routine hohoho, ha ha ha, hehehe, is chanted.

It is claimed that simulated laugter is contagious and quite like natural laugter in increasing endorphhins and reducing the bad feel hormone cortisol.Big Grin

That we are capable of simulating that is the source of the entertainment.

As it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
And I will show you something different from either
Your shadow at morning striding behind you
Or your shadow at evening rising to meet you;
I will show you fear in a handful of dust.
