Snake 'Tails'.
Biblical writ teaches that the followers of Christ could handle venomous serpents, along with drinking poison and come to no harm (Mark 16/18). It is also claimed ( Act28/1-6)
that St Paul was bitten by a deadly snake to no ill avail.

Quite frighteningly this still goes on today, in the main with some Pentacostalists.
Over 71 people in the U.S. Have died as a result of snake bites incurred at religious meetings Fortunately children are claimed not to participate, if this can be believed.

Yet another of the more weird aspects of Christianity.

Intellectual darwinism IMHO. If someone is stupid enough to risk ending their lives prematurely to test these verses then I'm glad they are removing themselves from the gene pool if they actually succeed!

In fact it would be awesome if they made being bitten by a poisonous snake a prerequisite to getting married / having sex!

Yeah Jamie Coots died from his delusion, his son Cody has already been bitten several times.

Oddly enough he looked like Matt Dillahunty

Another snake preacher in West Virginia, Mark Wolford died in 2012, his dad died from the same thing, he carried on in the "proud" tradition of religious delusion, deadly religious delusion.

My understanding is that these passages were added much later by scribes. Bart Ehrman talk about this in one of his books and other Biblical historians agree. It isn't even in the original writings. What am I saying? It's all a bunch of hoo-ha anyway.

Ill-fac’d, worse bodied, shapeless every where;
Vicious, ungentle, foolish, blunt, unkind,
Stigmatical in making, worse in mind.

They died doing what they loved: being stupid.

If heaven is so great and their confidence in its existence is so strong, they should be doing this all the time. Maybe a run with the bears with deer meat strapped to their chest or swimming with the sharks in water that has been chummed. It isn't suicide it is professing one's love and trust in their god.

Too bad they don't try to be eaten by pythons like that one guy on the Discovery Channel attempted but failed to do. You know what they say, "if at first you don't succeed, try, try again." Getting drunk seems to be the solution.

Um. I don't know if I should post this.

Awww, what the heck!
