Hey, Timmy - who's your daddy?

Bummer. You would have looked great in those orange robes.

I move to make immediate alterations to the Bible. Judges 1:19 should now read: "The LORD was with the men of Tebow. They took possession on their own 40, but they were unable to drive the Patriots backwards, because they had iron chariots driven by Tom Brady."

"Ain't got no last words to say, yellow streak right up my spine. The gun in my mouth was real and the taste blew my mind."

"We see you cry. We turn your head. Then we slap your face. We see you try. We see you fail. Some things never change."

He did it, He did it!!!

Wait, no, sorry about that. Premature conversion, I am always converting to soon, Unlike the Broncos on offense.

Is this place still a shithole run by a dumbass calvinist?

Tim was well-known for wearing "John 3:16" on the paint below his eyes throughout his college years, and in the Steelers game he passed for 316 yards! But that's not all! He also averaged 31.6 yards per pass, and the game's TV ratings (during the 4th quarter) were 31.6%!

Coincidence? I think not! Clearly God has chosen to reveal himself to humanity through the statistics of an NFL player!

Nevermind that if he passed for 316 yards, it's quite logical that his average yards per pass could easily be 31.6 with 10 passes.

Methinks some creative statistic massaging went on there...

nevermind, just read your explanatory squiggle Tongue

Not creative massaging, just unimaginative pattern recognition. Boring...

Did anyone in the US, watching the game happen to see this ad from Focus on the Family? John 3:16 Ad.

I wonder if anyone watching actually picked up their Bible to read more about it?

Also, interesting that the ad used ONLY small children to convey the message.

Yes, I saw it and was horrified at the brainwashing of children.Angry

Spin 'em.

First time I turn on the idiot box to watch some football, it's just in time to see the Pats boot a 3 to go 16-10 over the Ravens. Tongue

Apparently, God is not on Billy Cundiff's side.

First football game I've seen, prolly in six years; but I got "right" to be Patriots fan. Tongue

It's more that I didn't even watch TV; but when it comes to televised sport, it's Patriots football, I mean, d'uh. Tongue

That was good shit - I was cheering the Ravens on 'cause they were playing with heart, making it interesting - my Pats don't play the stooperbowl no morez, I ain't greedy - but first this guy catches it in the endzone, and gets peeled; then the kicker just punted. I mean, they laid down. Tongue

Pats in the Superbowl for my glorious return to Worcester? It's a sign! Big Grin

Sign that I might hafta, you know, prepare. Wink

People take that shit seriously out there. But part of why I don't really get into it; Boston, New York - they got the fan base, they can spend the money; I mean, I like Brady - but there's a certain shadow over the happy ignorance of youth. Sad
