Thus did I make it safely into the new year.

Dude, Astreja has the sheet music?

She reckons its at 60 BPM but everyone was drunk. Dotted quarter for sure.....

It's a side effect of being alive. People will figure that out one day.

We were kinda determined to end the year well.

We had to do some stuff for mil, arrangements details...

Then we went out to a late breakfast, and then saw Rogue One.

We got out to see snow falling, got home, ate crap (which was a big mistake on my part) and watched A New Hope.

Midnight we popped champagne and listened to fireworks.

But as if to knock me down, reality came around
And without so much as a mere touch, cut me into little pieces

I got to work a 12 hour at the statutory holiday pay rate starting right at the changeover. Starting off good here Big Grin.

Also, on the way to work someone tried to speed ahead of me and cut me off in the middle of a roundabout and then immediately turn left without giving themselves a chance to slow down, ending up in a snowbank for their attempted assholery. I love it when that happens. Even in Canada, some people have yet to figure out that snow affects reaction time.

So yeah, I'm appreciative of both the extra pay and the holiday entertainment.
